Position Overview

Our client are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Domestic Operations Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of logistics, particularly in managing LTL, FTL, and Heavy Haul operations. This role requires effective communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a strong focus on customer service.

Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate Shipments: Schedule and coordinate domestic shipments, ensuring timely pickup and delivery.
  2. Carrier Management: Build and maintain relationships with carriers, negotiate rates, and ensure compliance with company standards.
  3. Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate shipment documentation, including bills of lading and customs paperwork.
  4. Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and address any issues or delays in shipments, working to find solutions and keep clients informed.
  5. Customer Communication: Provide excellent customer service by keeping clients updated on the status of their shipments and addressing any inquiries promptly.
  6. Route Optimization: Optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and improve overall efficiency.
  7. Compliance: Ensure all shipments adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies.
  8. Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in domestic logistics, with a focus on LTL, FTL, and Heavy Haul operations.
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in relevant software and systems (TMS, Microsoft Office, etc.).
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
