Job Title: Air & Ocean Import/Export Coordinator

Location: Denver, Colorado

Salary: $65,000 per year

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Air & Ocean Import/Export Coordinator to join our client’s freight team in Denver. The ideal candidate will manage and oversee international import and export activities, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and optimizing the supply chain for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This role demands strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of air and ocean freight logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage air and ocean import/export shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs declarations.
  • Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transport of goods.
  • Monitor shipment status, track deliveries, and resolve any issues or delays.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including customs, import/export laws, and trade agreements.
  • Negotiate freight rates and service agreements with carriers and logistics providers.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, transactions, and logistics activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, purchasing, and customer service, to support business operations and meet customer needs.
  • Analyze logistics processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in international shipping.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in import/export coordination, with a focus on air and ocean freight.
  • Proficiency in CargoWise.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills, with proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
