Position Overview

As a Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and secure handling of freight, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. You will lead a team of warehouse staff, coordinate with other departments, and work closely with clients to meet their logistics needs.

Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Management: Supervise and lead a team of warehouse personnel, including hiring, training, and performance management. Plan and oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and shipping of freight. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment. Inventory Control: Implement effective inventory management procedures to optimize space and minimize discrepancies. Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy. Coordinate with procurement and purchasing teams to maintain optimal stock levels. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to ensure the accurate handling and packaging of goods. Monitor product quality and compliance with client specifications. Investigate and resolve any customer complaints or issues related to warehouse operations. Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding warehouse-related matters. Collaborate with clients to understand their specific logistics needs and provide customized solutions. Cost Management: Optimize warehouse operations to minimize costs while maintaining high-quality standards. Analyze operational expenses and work on cost-saving initiatives. Health and Safety: Enforce safety protocols and ensure all warehouse staff are trained on safety procedures. Investigate and report any workplace accidents or incidents, taking corrective actions as necessary.

Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in the freight forwarding or logistics industry. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of inventory management systems and software. Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
