Job Summary

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Air Import Export Coordinator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the import and export processes for air freight shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

Coordination of Air Freight Shipments:

  • Coordinate all aspects of air import and export shipments, from booking to final delivery.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of documentation, including customs declarations, invoices, and shipping instructions.

Customs Compliance:

  • Stay up-to-date with customs regulations and requirements, ensuring all shipments comply with local and international regulations.
  • Prepare and submit necessary customs documentation and declarations.

Client Communication:

  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on shipment status and resolving any issues or inquiries.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.

Transportation Coordination:

  • Arrange and coordinate transportation, including booking cargo space with airlines, scheduling pickups and deliveries, and tracking shipments.
  • Monitor and manage the movement of goods to ensure on-time delivery.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of all import and export shipments, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping instructions.
  • Generate reports and maintain documentation for auditing purposes.

Cost Management:

  • Work to optimize shipping costs while maintaining service quality.
  • Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers.

Problem Resolution:

  • Proactively identify and resolve shipment delays, customs issues, or other logistical challenges.
  • Collaborate with team members to find creative solutions to problems.


  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in air freight import/export coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping documentation.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
