Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Freight Forwarding Branch Manager to lead their team. As a Freight Forwarding Branch Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of our branch’s freight forwarding operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of goods, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and achieving financial targets.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to a team of freight forwarding professionals, including supervisors, coordinators, and administrative staff.

Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch, including cargo handling, customs clearance, documentation, and transportation.

Customer Service: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and issues are resolved promptly. Strive to exceed customer expectations.

Financial Management: Manage the branch’s budget, including revenue, expenses, and profitability. Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including customs, trade, and security requirements.

Staff Development: Recruit, train, and develop branch staff to enhance their skills and contribute to the branch’s success.

Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the branch’s performance and implement improvements as needed.

Supplier and Carrier Management: Collaborate with carriers, suppliers, and logistics partners to optimize services and costs.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks to protect the company’s assets and reputation.

Technology Utilization: Utilize technology and software systems for efficient cargo tracking, inventory management, and reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in freight forwarding and logistics, with a minimum of 4 years in a managerial role.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of international trade, customs procedures, and shipping regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
