Job Summary

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our business. You will leverage your freight forwarding sales experience and established book of business to identify and secure new clients, expand existing relationships, and contribute to the overall revenue and profitability goals of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Client Acquisition: Utilize your existing network and industry knowledge to identify and target potential clients who require freight forwarding services. Develop and execute effective sales strategies to acquire new clients.
  2. Account Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients. Understand their unique logistics needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  3. Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors’ activities. Use this knowledge to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to stay competitive.
  4. Sales Growth: Achieve and exceed sales targets by consistently meeting or exceeding revenue goals. Develop and implement sales plans and initiatives to drive business growth.
  5. Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and service agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms for both parties while maintaining profitability.
  6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with operations, customer service, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  7. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and market intelligence. Prepare regular reports and updates for management.


Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the freight forwarding industry. Proven track record of successful sales and client acquisition. Established book of business with a network of potential clients. Strong understanding of freight forwarding operations and logistics. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets. Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred but not required).
