Job Overview

As an Air and Ocean Export Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the export process for our clients. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing the export of goods via air and ocean, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Export Documentation: Prepare and review export documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin, to ensure accuracy and compliance with international trade regulations.
  • Booking and Reservation: Arrange bookings with airlines, ocean carriers, and other service providers.
  • Ensure cargo space availability and negotiate rates to optimize cost-effectiveness.
  • Customs Compliance: Stay up-to-date with international trade regulations, including TSA, CBP, and export control laws, and ensure that all shipments are in full compliance.
  • Customer Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on shipment status, handling inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise during the export process.
  • Cargo Tracking: Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination, proactively addressing any delays or issues and ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Rate Negotiation: Negotiate competitive rates with carriers and service providers to achieve cost-effective shipping solutions for clients.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain organized records of all export-related documents and files, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with record-keeping requirements.
  • Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, trucking companies, customs brokers, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.
  • Compliance Audits: Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of export documentation and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve any logistical challenges or issues that may arise during the export process, working closely with cross-functional teams.


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in air and ocean export operations.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
  • Proficiency in export documentation and customs clearance processes. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and tools.
