With a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, They are seeking an experienced Import Export Coordinator to join their team.

Job Description:

As an Import Export Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods across international borders. Your primary responsibilities will involve coordinating and facilitating the import and export processes, managing documentation, and liaising with various stakeholders to meet customer requirements. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a minimum of 2 years of experience in international trade and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

Documentation Management: Prepare, review, and manage all necessary import and export documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and certificates of origin, to ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements.

Customs Compliance: Stay up-to-date with customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements to ensure the lawful and cost-effective movement of goods. Coordinate with customs brokers when necessary.

Shipment Tracking: Monitor the status of shipments from origin to destination, ensuring on-time deliveries and resolving any issues that may arise during transit.

Customer Communication: Maintain regular communication with customers, suppliers, and carriers to provide shipment updates, resolve inquiries, and address any concerns promptly.

Rate Negotiation: Negotiate freight rates and terms with carriers to secure cost-effective transportation solutions for customers while maintaining service quality.

Problem Solving: Identify and resolve logistics and transportation challenges, such as delays, damage, or other issues, in a proactive and efficient manner.

Compliance and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and reports related to shipments, customs compliance, and costs. Ensure compliance with international trade laws and regulations.

Vendor Management: Collaborate with suppliers, shipping lines, trucking companies, and other service providers to coordinate the movement of goods effectively.

Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, providing shipment status updates, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the import and export process.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in import/export coordination, freight forwarding, or international logistics.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and tools for shipment tracking and documentation.
    Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
